Abstract:
This research aimed to: 1) examine the level of leadership roles of school administrators; 2) investigate the level of participation building in schools; and
3) analyze the influence of school administrators leadership roles on participation building in schools. The sample consisted of 277 teachers from schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, obtained from proportional stratified random sampling based on district distribution. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research results showed that:
1. Overall, the leadership role of school administrators was rated at the highest level (x ̅ = 4.74, S.D. = 0.48). Specifically, all aspects were also at the highest level. The aspect with the highest average was knowing the community (x ̅ = 4.76, S.D. = 0.46), followed by knowing moderation (x ̅ = 4.75, S.D. = 0.48), knowing timing (x ̅ = 4.75, S.D. = 0.50), knowing people (x ̅ = 4.75, S.D. = 0.53), knowing goals (x ̅ = 4.72, S.D. = 0.50), knowing principles (x ̅ = 4.72, S.D. = 0.50), and knowing oneself (x ̅ = 4.71, S.D. = 0.54), respectively.
2. Overall, the participation building in schools was rated at the highest level
(x ̅ = 4.75, S.D. = 0.42). Specifically, all aspects were also at the highest level. The aspect with the highest average was participative consultation (x ̅ = 4.78, S.D. = 0.43),
participative listening (x ̅ = 4.76, S.D. = 0.43), and participative information sharing (x ̅ = 4.73, S.D. = 0.45), respectively.
3. The leadership role of school administrators in the aspects of knowing moderation (X4), knowing the community (X6), knowing principles (X1), and knowing goals (X2) had a statistically significant impact on the participation building in schools (Ytot) at the .05 level. These aspects jointly predicted the participation building, accounting for 83.50 percent of the variance. The regression equation was as follows:
Y ̂tot = 0.78 + 0.25 (X4) + 0.30 (X6) + 0.14 (X1) + 0.14 (X2).
