Abstract:
In the digital age, technology plays a crucial role in business operations. Thai government agencies have promoted the adoption of the E-Tax Invoice and E-Receipt system to enhance operational efficiency and increase transparency in business transactions. This quantitative research aimed to examine the
factors influencing users acceptance of the E-Tax Invoice and E-Receipt system in the Eastern region of Thailand, by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The sample consisted of 153 value-added tax-registered entrepreneurs. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).
The findings revealed that the key factors influencing technology acceptance were perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and user attitude. Perceived ease of use had a direct positive effect on both perceived usefulness and user attitude, while perceived usefulness had a direct positive effect on user attitude.
Furthermore, user attitude had a highly significant direct positive effect on technology acceptance. The SEM results indicated that the model demonstrated a good fit with the empirical data (χ²/df = 1.460, CFI = .976, TLI = .964, RMSEA = .055, p = .026), suggesting that the model is effective in validating the construct validity of the latent variables.
Based on the findings, it is recommended that government agencies continue to promote the adoption of the E-Tax Invoice and E-Receipt system. The system should be further developed to be userfriendly and accommodate entrepreneurs at all levels, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Efforts should also be made to clearly communicate the tangible benefits of the system, such as cost reduction, decreased paperwork, and improved business planning. Integrating the E-Tax Invoice and E-Receipt system with commonly used accounting programs would also enhance its practical usability and long-term adoption. These improvements could significantly strengthen confidence and motivation among entrepreneurs to adopt the system sustainably.
