Abstract:
With the advancement of Distributed Computing Technology, specifically Blockchain, we see its emergence from concept to implementation in digital cash systems like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more. In addition, we see a rise of interests in utilizing the Blockchain Technology for creating a platform of collaboration between parties in a
trustless environment. However, because Blockchain is a novel technology, there have been a lot of conceptual and semi-applied researches on this subject, and far too few applications of Blockchain Technology in a production environment. In this study, we aim to create a cloud-based Blockchain Network using Hyperledger Fabric 2.x, with Smart Contract support. This study centers around the utilization of
Blockchain Technology and Smart Contract for a decentralized and transparent supply chain as we explore its system design and the analysis on its vulnerabilities. Firstly, we introduce Blockchain Technology and its relative benefits to Supply Chain. Then we look at current researches and literatures regarding the current state of Blockchain Technology implementation in various industries. Next, we introduce the
methodology of this study, how the Blockchain network is structured, how a transaction works, and how it compares with conventional supply chain network. In addition, we will also observe some experimentations on this network, completed with its integral components and the impact on the network. Finally, we arrive at the analysis of this networks vulnerabilities, and what is needed to improve its reliability and decentralization features for future studies and experimentations.
