Abstract:
Objectives of this research were 1. To study the application context of the Noble Eightfold Path to enhance Human Capital Competency by Thai business entities in Thai Industry 4.0, 2. To study factors affecting the applications of the Noble Eightfold Path to enhance Human Capital Competency by Thai business entities in Thai Industry 4.0, and 3. To study the results of the application of the Noble Eightfold Path to enhance Human Capital Competency in business entities in Thailand 4.0. Methodology was mixed methods. The quantitative method, data were collected from 309 samples from five business entities, using research questionnaires with a reliability value at 0.9, analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Qualitative method, data were collected from 18 key informants, purposefully selected, by in-depth interviewing, and from 10 participants in focus group discussion. Data were analyzed by descriptive interpretation. Findings were as follows: 1. The five participating companies used the Noble Eightfold Path to enhance Human Capital Competency through company rules and regulations, organizational culture, daily chanting activities, other non-work-related Human Resources Development activities such as meditation, and CSR activities, 2. Factors affecting the application of the Noble Eightfold Path included the owners commitment, the teams involvement, and the nature of business, 3. The result indicated the increase Human Capital Competency in all three components: knowledge, skill, and attitude
