Abstract:
This research was research and development. The objectives were to 1) analyze
problems and needs for student innovator development. 2) design and develop a
prototype for developing innovator competency for vocational students using decision support dashboards. 3) Develop and evaluate a prototype user manual. 4) Trial and evaluate the prototype and 5) Propose new design principles. Conduct research using design research. The research design was divided into 5 phases, with samples and data collection as follows. Phase 1 : Analysis of problem conditions and needs for developing students' innovator competencies Under the Bangkok Vocational Education Institute by conducting an in-depth interview sample group consisting of executives project teachers, and the head of the research department, the Bangkok Vocational Education Institute totaling 39 people by purposive selection method. Phase 2 : Design and develop prototypes create and evaluate the suitability of tools 5 experts assed the suitability of the prototype and the efficiency of the decision support dashboard system
by 5 experts. Developing and evaluating the suitability of a prototype user manual by 5 experts. Phase 3 : Prototype trial and evaluation. The target group was 34 Minburi Technical College students using the purposive selection methods. The experiment was conducted according to a one-group pretest-posttest design. Scores were compared using t-tests. Phase 4 : Summative Meta Evaluation by 7 experts. Phase 5 : Presenting new design principles by group discussion (Fucus Group Discussion) of 11 experts. The research results can be summarized as follows :
1. Results of analysis of problems and needs received the need to develop
innovator competencies of vocational students in 5 areas. Consisting of creativity,
designing future innovations, problem-solving, focus on achievement communication
and teamwork, and knowledge and practical skills for creating innovation.
2. Results of designing and developing a prototype for developing innovator
competencies of vocational education students using decision support dashboards.
2.1 Results of prototype design and development by having a model for
developing competencies innovators of vocational education students using a decision
support dashboard (IDESd Model) through appropriateness assessment from experts
at the highest level.
2.2 Results of development and efficiency of the decision support dashboard
system Effective at the highest level.
2.3 Results of development and suitability of protype user manual. It is
appropriate at the highest level.
3. Results of the trial using the IDESd Model prototype with the target group,
higher Vocational Certificate students department of Business Computing Minburi
Technical College, 34 people, found students have innovator competencies in all 5
areas, overall at the highest level, as follows: Creativity in designing future innovations, Problem-solving focus on achievement, Communication and teamwork, and Knowledge and practical skills for creating innovation. The results found that the evaluation of students' innovation creation was at the highest level. Achievement after studying was
significantly higher than before studying at the .05 level. There were higher scores after studying than before the study. The evaluation results of satisfaction with the protype were 93.80 percent.
4. Results of the Summative Meta-Evaluation according to the evaluation standards
of the Educational Evaluation Criteria Development Committee. Consisting of the
evaluation of 5 standards and 30 indicators, it was found that the results of the meta- evaluation were summed up at the highest level (X̅ = 4.82, S.D. = 0.36)
5. Results of the presentation of a prototype design for developing innovator
competencies of vocational education students using decision support dashboards.
Experts have criticized and made recommendations and found that the prototype
can be used to develop the innovator competencies of vocational education students
to have the ability to create innovations in the future, that are beneficial to the industrial sector, community, and society executives can use the information to make policy decisions. The guidelines for developing students' competency in biology, academics, or other fields to be more efficient.
