Abstract:
This research aimed to (1) analyze the current state and approaches to academic administration using the Four Iddhipāda principles in early childhood development centers in Khon Kaen Province under the supervision of local administrative organizations and (2) propose guidelines for academic administration based on the Four Iddhipāda principles in these centers. This study employed a mixed-method research approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The quantitative research utilized a questionnaire as the data collection instrument, with an overall reliability coefficient of 0.98. The sample group consisted of 250 administrators and teachers from early childhood development centers. The statistical tools used for analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative research employed interviews as the primary data collection tool, with key informants consisting of nine experts selected through purposive sampling to ensure validity and reliability.
The research results were as follows:
1. The current academic administration based on the Four Iddhipāda principles by administrators in early childhood development centers in Khon Kaen Province was at a high level overall and across all aspects. Among the four principles, Chanda (Aspiration) was the most emphasized in practice.
2. The proposed guidelines for academic administration based on the Four Iddhipāda principles for administrators in early childhood development centers in Khon Kaen Province integrate these principles with academic management as follows:
Chanda (Aspiration): Administrators create a learning environment that fosters satisfaction and motivation among teachers and students. Viriya (Effort): Administrators conduct regular supervision of teachers to enhance instructional practices and improve teaching quality. Citta (Commitment): Administrators manage and analyze the use of teaching materials to maximize learning efficiency. Vīmaṁsā (Reflection): Administrators assess the alignment of the curriculum with student needs and future educational trends.
