Abstract:
This research aimed to develop and evaluate a model for developing digital citizenship for teachers in secondary schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The research was conducted in 3 stages: 1) Study the actual conditions, expected conditions, and needs for developing digital citizenship for teachers in secondary schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration by studying documents, conducting in depth interviews with 10 experts, and serveying the actual conditions and expected conditions from a sample of 303 school administrators and teachers. 2) Develop a model for developing digital citizenship for teachers in secondary schools, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration from step 1 and checking its appropriateness and accuracy by 10 expects. 3) Test the model at Wat Sutharam Secondary School and evaluate its usefulness and feasibility by 63 administrators and teachers. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, test scores compared to the 80% criterion, and relative development score.
The research results found that the model for developing digital citizenship for secondary school teachers under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is called the "2P2S6D Model", consisting of 1) planning, 2) teacher development, 3) supervision, monitoring, and evaluation, and 4) continuous development and improvement. The digital citizenship that needs to be developed consists of 6 aspects: 1) digital technology media literacy, 2) digital technology media access, 3) digital technology communication, 4) respect for the law and the rights of oneself and others, 5) safe use of digital technology, and 6) digital commercial transactions. The evaluation results of the appropriateness, feasibility, correctness, and usability of the developed model were at the highest level in all aspects. The overall test results passed the criteria at 87.60% and the overall development evaluation results were at a high level.
