Abstract:
The purpose aimed to assess the needs for developing internal supervision processes in educational opportunity expansion schools under Bueng Kan Primary Educational Service Area Office.The participants consisted of 261 school administrators and teachers in schools, academic year 2022, who were selected using a multi-stage random sampling method. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire, which the actual condition indicated reliability index ranged between 0.80 and 1.00, discrimination power index ranged between 0.58 and 0.93 and reliability was at 0.99, whereas the desirable condition indicated reliability index ranged between 0.80 and 1.00, discrimination power index ranged between 0.35 and 0.74, and reliability index was at 0.98. The development guidelines questionnaire was also used. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified )
The findings were as follows.
1. The internal supervision process of the educational opportunity expansion schools comprised four components, namely supervision planning, exploring actual conditions and issues, supervision operations, and supervision evaluation. All components were at the highest level of appropriateness.
2. The actual conditions of the internal supervision process of the educational opportunity expansion schools, in overall, was at high level, whereas the desirable conditions showed the highest level of appropriateness.
3. The needs of developing the internal supervision process of the educational opportunity expansion schools found that overall, PNImodified was at 0.083. When prioritized each aspect, it was found that supervision evaluation showed PNImodified at 0.088, supervision planning showed PNImodified at 0.083, current condition and issues showed PNImodified at 0.082, and supervision operation showed PNImodified at 0.080, respectively.
4. Guidelines for developing the internal supervision process of the educational opportunity expansion schools comprised two aspects, namely supervision evaluation and supervision planning.
