Abstract:
The Objective of this study was to assess the needs for servant leadership development of school administrators. The participants of the study comprised 321 administrators and teachers in school under Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 in academic year 2024,They were selected using multi-stage sampling. The instruments used in data collection included a set of 5-rating scale questionnaires, Which the part of current state indicated validity index ranged between 0.60-1.00, discriminative power index ranged between 0.53-0.88 and reliability value index at .98,
and the desirable state indicated validity index ranged between 0.60-1.00, discriminative power index ranged between 0.24-0.89 and reliability value index at .97, The statistical used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, confirmatory component analysis, and Modified Priority Need Index (PNImodified)
The findings were as follows.
1. Servant leadership of school administrators comprised eight components, namely commitment to the growth of people, community building,good listener, healing, persuasion, empathy, awareness, and foresight, with all components being highest appropriate. The servant leadership of school administrators congruent with the empirical data (χ^2 = 6.70, df = 11, p-value = 0.82, GFI = 0.99, AGFI = 0.98, RMSEA = 0.00) and indicated factor loading between 0.37-0.53 with statistical significance at .01.
2. The current state and the desirable condition of servant leadership of school administrators. The current state in overall was at high level, and the desirable condition in overall was at the highest level.
3. The results of the need assessment of servant leadership of school administrators in overall indicated the priority need index (PNImodified)at 0.1445. When considering each components in order from most to least, they are: healing, persuasion, empathy, foresight, good listener, awareness, community building and commitment to the growth of people, respectively.
4. The guidelines for developing servant leadership of school administrators, consisted of three components, healing, the overall appropriateness and feasibility was at a high level, persuasion, the overall appropriateness and feasibility was at the highest level and empathy, the overall appropriateness was at the highest level and the overall feasibility was at a high level.
