Abstract:
The objective of this study was (1) to explore the move the abstract section of agricultural science articles (2) to develop a model of move sequences of the abstract section of research articles of agricultural science journals. 90 abstracts from three agricultural research journals (Animal Science, Food Science, and Plant Science) were analyzed using the framework of move analysis and two workshops. The analysis revealed 13 moves with 30 move patterns in Plant Science, 28 move patterns in Food Science, and 24 move patterns Animal Science. The findings can be applied in analyzing moves and move patterns for training novice writers in writing an abstract section in agricultural science journals and other related fields.
