Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study the organizational commitment of personnel in Suksasongkroh school under the Special Education Administration Office Group 7, and to compare the organizational commitment of personnel in Suksasongkroh school under the the Special Education Administration Office Group 7, by personnel status. The population consisted of 454 personnel of Suksasongkroh school under the Special Education Administration Office Group 7. The sample groups consisted 210 administrators and teachers chosen by Krejcie & Morgan table at the .05 level of reliability. The research instrument used was a rating scale questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis consisted of percentages, mean, standard deviation and t - test.The results of this research showed that 1. The overall organizational commitment of personnel in Suksasongkroh school under the Special Education Administration Office Group 7, was at a high level. The highest rated aspect of organizational commitment was willingness to attempt to achieve organizational advantage ( = 4.24, S.D. = 0.50), the next highest was strong trust in and acceptance of organizational goals and value ( = 4.01, S.D. = 0.56) and the lowest rated aspect was and the lowest rated aspect was the strong desire to be a member of the organization ( = 3.87, S.D. = 0.69). 2. The comparison of the organizational commitment by personnel status showed that the overall organizational commitment of administrators and teachers was significantly different at .05. Strong trust in and acceptance of organizational goals and values and the strong desire to be a member of the organization was significantly different at .05. The willingness to attempt to achieve organizational advantage was not significantly different for administrators and teachers.
