Abstract:
This career test will help the students find out what professions fit their personality. This research aims 1) to analysis the vocational readiness of the graduate student of KMUTNB using a questionnaire and 2) to suggest the guideline to initiative educational activity according to students skills and capabilities according to John Holland theory. The sample group consists of master and Ph.D. students of KMUTNB with a sample size of 451 people. An online John Hollands vocational readiness questionnaire is used as a tool for this research. The statistical tools are percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The vocational interest test is classified into three categories by a) sex, b) education level, and c) faculty. The key results are as follows. a) Male has the highest test score for an Artistic personality type. Female has the highest test score for an Enterprising personality type. b) Ph.D. degree students have the highest test score for an Enterprising personality type. Master degree students have the highest test score for an Artistic personality type. Moreover, c) Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Information Technology have the highest test score for both Artistic and Investigative personality types. Faculty of Technical Education, Faculty of Applied Arts, College of Industrial Technology, Faculty of Business Administration have the highest test score for an Enterprising personality type. Faculty of Applied Science has the highest test score for a Realistic personality type. Faculty of Business and Industrial Development has the highest test score for a Social personality type. Lastly, Faculty of Science, Energy and Environment has the highest test score for both Conventional and Enterprising personality types. The test results may conclude that most graduate students of KMUTNB have an Enterprising and an Artistic personality type. KMUTNB should develop the work environment that fits their type in order to promote creative thinking and ethical behaviour such that they can use their skills and abilities to express their values and attitudes.
