Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to 1) compare the listening ability in Chinese Subject of Prathomsuksa 6 students before and after learning by the brain-based learning and 2) compare the listening ability in Chinese Subject of Prathomsuksa 6 students after learning by the brain-based learning management with the criteria 70% of full score. The samples were 34 Prathomsuksa 6 students of Tanasri School obtained by muti - stage random sampling. The study instruments were 1) the 3 lesson plans concerning the brain-based learning management with the most appropriate (x̅=4.70, S.D.=0.05) and 2) the 30 items of listening ability assessment form with the validity between 0.67 -1.00, the difficulty between 0.31 - 0.62, the discrimination between 0.25 - 0.75, and the reliability as 0.79. The data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, dependent sample t-test and one sample.
The study findings were as follows:
1. The Prathomsuksa 6 students who received the brain-based learning had the mean score before learning as 15.71, with a standard deviation of 2.81, and after learning had the mean score as 26.91, with a standard deviation of 1.38. The comparison of the listening ability before and after was found that the listening ability after learning was higher than before statistically significant at the .05 level.
2. The Prathomsuksa 6 students who received the brain-based learning management had the mean score after learning as 26.91, standard deviation as 1.38. The comparison of the listening ability and the criteria 70 % of the full score found that the listening ability after learning was higher than the criteria 70 % of the full score statistically significant at the .05 level.
