Abstract: Many people have foot pain causing problem in mobility, loss of balance and falling that contributes to the loss the quality of life Plantar pain is commonly associated with higher plantar pressures. Many research works were studied in different insole materials to reduce plantar pressure for preventing plantar pain Finite element method (FEM) was used to analyze distribution of foot pressure with different natural rubber insoles. Plantar pressures from FEM were compared with pressures that measured by Pedar X system. The purpose of this work was to study the effects of natural rubber hardness and the design pattern of the insole for the plantar pressure reduction. The FEM result showed that high pressure was found in heel and forefoot areas, and soft insole can reduce more plantar pressure. The measured pressure from the Pedar X was found to be consistent with from the FEM. Both soft insole and the specific design pattern insole can reduce pressure more than without insole about 14 and 29 percent, respectively.
