Abstract:
The objective of this study was to study learning behavior in Generation C influenced by the shift to online media in New Normal. This quantitative survey research model employed online questionnaires and collected data from 400 sample group generation C who use the Internet more than 6 hours per week. The research results revealed that the Generation C group who had the most online learning during the coronavirus epidemic were female with the age range between 25-40 years, have a bachelor's degree, employed in private companies with a monthly income that ranges from 15,001 - 30,000 baht. Online learning behavior found that the notebooks were the devices chosen by generation C to access the Internet for online learning from their house/living places. The frequency that Generation C people used social media was 4-6 hours/day, Monday to Friday from 9.00-12.00. However, on Saturdays, they chose from 13.00-16. 00, and on Sundays, they opt not to access online learning. As for the platform, most of Generation C chose for online learning like classroom-type or live tutoring via Zoom. Also, the Generation C group chose the Thai MOOC platform for online learning, since it is free of charge and would mostly cover the application that they need. Overall, Generation C has a positive attitude and satisfaction in online learning in the new normal. When considering each aspect divided into 3 areas, opinion of learners, learning media part, and operating system part, it showed that the Generation C group completely agrees (4.26) with the opinion of learners that online learning provides an opportunity to learn at anytime. Overall, the Generation C group had a positive attitude and satisfaction of the opinion of learners with a total average of 3.98. In the learning media part, Generation C somewhat agrees with an average of 4.12. They are very satisfied with the variety of content displayed on the online learning materials with a total average of 4.03. Generation C somewhat agrees that an online learning operating system should be supported with chat channels to help them communicate between learners and tutors (4.12). Overall, the Generation C group had a total average of 4.05 (satisfied to very satisfied) attitude and satisfaction with the operating system part.
