A guideline of security and privacy improvement for promoting a Thai government e-service digital trust
Abstract:
This study investigated approaches to enhance
the security and privacy of e-government services in Thailand to
foster digital trust. It employed data collected from open-ended
questionnaires administered to 16 experts with experience in
information security, personal data protection, or information
technology in Thailand. The aim was to acquire in-depth
insights and recommendations. Findings revealed that digital
trust in e-government services was at a moderate level. The
majority of respondents expressed concerns about personal data
breaches. They suggested that strengthening the security of
government digital infrastructure, such as implementing multifactor
authentication and additional measures to prevent and
detect personal data breach and leakage, could substantially
increase digital trust in e-government services
