Abstract:
The researcher utilized Explanatory Mixed Methods research. The objectives of this research were two-fold: firstly, to investigate factors affecting the work stress of healthcare professionals at a hospital in Chonburi, and secondly, to explore guidelines for managing the work stress of healthcare professionals. The findings of the study are outlined below: The study identified factors contributing to work stress among healthcare professionals at a hospital in Chonburi. The research sample consisted of 337 operational healthcare professionals. An Exploratory Factor Analysis was performed, which identified 6 stress factors: 1) Work society, 2) Relationships with oneself and others, 3) Motivation and compensation, 4) Organizational management, 5) Quality of work life, and 6) Work culture. Regarding managing work stress, the informants were 10 operational healthcare professionals from the same hospital. Through in-depth interviews, it was found that stress management could be self-directed, including sustainable stress management techniques such as meditation and general stress management techniques like watching movies. Organizational expectations for stress management included systemic approaches such as policy reforms and individual strategies like providing more days off and offering encouragement.
