Abstract: Conversation is a social interaction, and studying conversations in terms of social interaction can help explain the consistent patterns in conversations. Conversation Analysis is an approach that reveals conversational phenomena. The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the conversations between doctors and patients in the *House M.D.* movie series. Thirty-three extracts of conversations and conversational phenomena were grouped into four categories. Turn-taking and Adjacency pairs are the typical structures in the conversation process. The turn-taking phenomenon involves the response and reflex of the next speaker, where response and reflex are used to evaluate attention and stimulation for exchanging information. Question-Answer pairs and Assessment-Agreement are also typical patterns of Adjacency-pairs, which are processes where different speakers produce each utterance. The response is studied as the feedback action. Repair refers to speech aimed at clearing mistakes or unclear speaking, and it was found to be rare in the study. Repair is a process of speaking to solve or explain unclear speech or misunderstandings, consisting of a trouble source or repairable and outcomes. Overall organization of conversations included open and close organizations, which were found in a small number. Open and close patterns are used to begin a conversation. The model of these four conversational phenomena should be applied in classrooms to evaluate reflex, response, and feedback from students.
