Abstract: The work on the value and mystery of faith through the installation art project was conducted with the objectives to reflect positive issues concerning mystical beliefs that are valuable as a spiritual anchor and a part of the mental fulfillment, and to create an art work that demonstrates how the encouragement and spiritual anchor are important for people living in the present era. The author began researching the background of mixed religious beliefs and objects of belief in Thai society, including mysterious stories that can create positive encouragement for believers from the past to the present. The current impacts of the principles of science and rationality play significant roles in shaping how people live, resulting in the fact that beliefs and faith become credulity and the value of beliefs and faith as a spiritual anchor may be easily overlooked. Sometimes, just rationality alone cannot completely fulfill people’s mental state. This is because problems make people feel unable to control their own destinies. That is why people feel the need to rely on beliefs in the hope that will serve them as an encouragement in their living. From the aforementioned information studied, it was analyzed to develop a concept to create a space of positive belief and faith through 1) the process of creating the installation art work to result in a body of knowledge on art, and 2) the issue of the value and mystery of faith through installation art. The author hopes that this research will be beneficial to those who are interested in issues of belief, faith, and works of arts. Keywords: mystical believe, value of faith, installation art

Abstract: ผลงานดุษฎีนิพนธ์ “คุณค่าและความลี้ลับของความศรัทธาผ่านศิลปะการจัดวาง” เป็นการศึกษาค้นคว้าเกี่ยวกับความเป็นมา ความเชื่อของศาสนา และวัตถุทางความเชื่อสังคมไทย ที่สามารถสร้างกำลังใจเชิงบวกต่อผู้ที่มีความศรัทธาจากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยการดำเนินชีวิตผู้คนในสังคมไทยในปัจจุบันส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นไปตามหลักของวิทยาศาสตร์และเหตุผล ทำให้อาจมองข้ามเรื่องคุณค่าของความเชื่อความศรัทธาที่เป็นสิ่งยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจทางด้านความรู้สึก จากข้อมูลการศึกษาข้างต้นได้นำมาวิเคราะห์เพื่อกำหนดเป็นแนวคิดที่ต้องการสร้างสรรค์พื้นที่แห่งความเชื่อและความศรัทธาเชิงบวกที่ถ่ายทอดเนื้อหาทางความเชื่อในสังคมไทยในอดีตแบบดั้งเดิม ที่ต้องการนำข้อมูลมาสร้างสรรค์ผลงานใหม่ให้ก่อเกิดเป็นศิลปะจัดวางให้มีความเป็นร่วมสมัย ผ่านวัสดุทางความเชื่อและวัสดุสมัยใหม่ ก่อเกิดเป็นองค์ความรู้ทางด้านศิลปะร่วมสมัย ข้าพเจ้าได้ทดลองวิธีการรวมถึงเทคนิคใหม่ ๆ ที่เป็นประโยชน์เป็นอย่างมากในการค้นพบระหว่างการสร้างสรรค์ โดยสามารถนำมาต่อยอดพัฒนาการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชิ้นต่อไปในอนาคต ทั้งในด้าน เนื้อหาของผลงาน รูปแบบผลงานรวมถึงวิธีการนำเสนอ ผลงานศิลปะจัดวางชุดนี้ได้สัมฤทธิ์ตามวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะ โดยต้องการนำเสนอว่ากำลังใจและการมีหลักยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจเป็นสิ่งสำคัญต่อชีวิตของมนุษย์ยุคปัจจุบัน ข้าพเจ้าได้สังเกตเห็นผู้ชมในนิทรรศการที่มีความสนใจผลงาน จึงได้พบว่ามีการพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนกันเกี่ยวกับประเด็นเชิงบวกต่อสิ่งลี้ลับหรือสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์รวมไปถึงวัตถุทางความเชื่อจากการรับชมผลงาน อีกทั้งผู้ชมได้มีการพิจารณารูปทรง ขนาดของผลงาน วัตถุทางความเชื่อ บรรยากาศที่ดูมีมนต์ขลัง กลิ่น สัญญะต่าง ๆ ที่ปรากฏในผลงานศิลปะจัดวางซึ่งเป็นส่วนช่วยการสร้างจินตนาการ การระลึกถึงคุณค่าตามประสบการณ์ของผู้ชมในประเด็นคุณค่าจากสิ่งลี้ลับและวัตถุทางความเชื่อ โดยข้าพเจ้าหวังว่าโครงการวิจัยนี้จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้ที่สนใจด้านศิลปะกับความเชื่อ คำสำคัญ: ความเชื่อในสิ่งลี้ลับ, คุณค่าของความศรัทธา, ศิลปะจัดวาง
