Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: 1) study the level of morale in job performance of teachers in Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 2) compare the morale in job performance of teachers which was classified by gender factors, schools size, and the positon at work of the teachers and 3) find out the guidelines for promoting morale and motivation in job performance of teachers in Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1.
The research consisted of 285 teachers in the academic year 2020. The sample was collected from the stratified sampling which depends on school sizes and sample size determination by using Krejcie and Morgan approach. The questionnaire with 5-level rating scale was introduced to use for data collection with the total level of confidence (reliability) of .96. The statistic used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test (Independent Sample T-test for two small groups of sample and more than two group), F-test, pair difference test by Scheffes method, and content analysis.
The results were shown that:
1. The overall of the level of morale in job performance of teachers in Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 was in high level of all 6 aspects.
2. The comparison of the morale in job performance of teachers which was classified by gender factors, schoolssize, and the positon at work of the teachers were as follows;
The overall of morale in job performance of the teachers in Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in relevance to gender factors was no significantly different. Considering each aspect ordered shown that only the point of advancement in the job position which was significantly different at the level of .05. Moreover, the overall of morale in job performance of the teachers in Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in relevance to schools size was no significantly different in both total or each aspect.
In addition to, the overall of morale in job performance of the teachers in Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in relevance to the position at work was no significantly different in both total or each aspect.
3. The suggestions for promoting morale and motivation in job performance of teachers in Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 were found that the school should pay attention to the relationship within teachers and the school director, and increase more opportunity for teachers in team-working with the positive suggestions and other supporting ideas from the school director. The school must promote the relationship between fellow teachers to work effectively, and must have sufficient budget providing for work including more convenience in welfare benefit is a plus. The school should have better strategies in maintaining the effective security and better additional welfare for the teachers in order to promote morale in job performance.The school also should give more importance to the career advancement of teachers on a regular basis.
