Abstract:
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the relationship level of personnel in Community Development and Social Welfare Department at Bangkhae District Office; 2) to study the factors which have effect on relationships of personnel in Community Development and Social Welfare Department at Bangkhae District Office; and 3) to propose guidelines for improvement in the human resources policy procedure of Community Development and Social Welfare Department at Bangkhae District Office. The population used in the study included government officials and employees of Community Development and Social Welfare Department. The study adopted the quantitative research design method where primary data was collected from 90 respondents. The statistical formulas used were frequency, percentages, mean and standard deviation, as well as chi-square test to find the relationships among the variables. The relation of the direction of the relationships were found through the gamma correlation coefficient, which was 0.05 level of significance.
The findings revealed that most personnel in the study had high level of organizational commitment in all aspects. Considering each of the aspects, it was shown that willingness and dedication aspects to working for the organization had the highest level. For hypothesis testing, the results showed that personal factors had no relationship with the organization. Both job characteristics factors and work satisfaction had relationships with the organization. These relationships effected on the Community Development and Social Welfare Department in the Bangkhae District Office were at the statistic significant level of 0.05.
