Abstract:
This research aimed at studying knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the educational quality assurance system for the Faculty of Business Administration and Service Industry personnel. There were 2 groups of research population: 23 academic staff and 17 support staff. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument. The statistics for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and One-way ANOVA. As a result, most of the academic staff respondents were female, in an age range of 46-55 years old, had a doctoral degree, held the position of assistant professor, had 5-10 years of work experience or more, and held the position of a university employee. They performed lecturer duties. The academic support staff largely were female, in an age range of 46-55 years old, had a bachelor's degree, held the position of a university employee and had 5-10 years of work experience or more. Concerning knowledge and understanding of the educational quality assurance system, most of the academic and support staff had knowledge and understanding at a high level. For awareness of the educational quality assurance system, the findings showed that the academic and support staff generally attached significance to the educational quality assurance system at the highest level. Comparing the awareness of the significance of the quality assurance system, it revealed that gender, education level, and job type of academic staff, moreover, gender and job type of support staff were significantly different in their awareness of the quality assurance system at the 0.05 significance level. Thus, there should be an emphasis on participation in quality assurance education for employees in all job types.
