Abstract:
This dissertation on the development of music for implementing happiness on Buddhist Peaceful has three objectives, namely, to study the principles, theories and methods of composing songs which promote self-happiness in relation to the principles of Buddhist peace, to develop and produce songs according to principles of Buddhist peace and, lastly, to present those songs and establish a training program for personnel involved. The training program will then be checked by 7 qualified personnel and 10 professionally trained musicians. Lastly, the songs will then be tested with a group of 25 dialysis patients and their relatives. The results of the research can be summarized as follows;
1. There are two important components in composing songs: 1) the content of the song indicating happiness, peace, and peace, and 2) those who involved, namely, composers, musicians and singers.
2. The principles of Buddhist peace in terms of Dharma being embedded in content of the songs in order to eliminate anxiety and promote the power of positive thinking to the patients and also the musicians.
3. There are three main steps in composing the happiness-induced songs, namely, 1) create a program to enhance competency of music personnel with the knowledge on peace studies, the Buddhist 5 precepts and meditation in order to strengthen the mind according to the 4 foundations of mindfulness and to promote the formation of the 4 Sangahavattha. 2.) the group of musicians make a derivative of the chanting of Bojjangkaparit to compose a song 3). Test the song with a group of 25 dialysis patients and their relatives. The results indicate an increase in happiness which can be tracked by the patients overall reaction to the song.
4. The development of the happiness-induced sings consists of a three-step process: 1). study the elements of the song as mentioned 2) develop a program to enhance competency of music personnel with the knowledge of the principles of Buddhist peace, the 5 precepts, the 4 foundations of mindfulness and praying 4 3.) compose and test the songs.
