Guidelines for enhancing nonviolent communication of Chinese school teachers in Bangkok

Abstract: The purposed of this study were (1) to study the levels of nonviolent communication of Chinese School teachers in Bangkok, Thailand (2) to compare the levels of nonviolent communication of Chinese School teachers in Bangkok based on teachers' personal background including age, gender, nationality, educational level and teaching experience with the current school and (3) to propose guidelines for enhancing nonviolent communication of Chinese School teachers in Bangkok. The sample consisted of 384 Chinese School teachers in Bangkok. The data were collected by using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test independent, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Scheffe (Levene's test for equality of variances). Overall, the nonviolent communication of Chinese School teachers in Bangkok, Thailand was at the highest level. By comparing the levels of nonviolent communication of Chinese School teachers in Bangkok based on teachers' personal background, the results revealed that there was a statistically significant difference among nationalities and educational levels. The guidelines for enhancing nonviolent communication of Chinese School teachers in Bangkok were divided into five dimensions: (1) Structural management, (2) Creating a linkage between non-violent communication and organization vision, mission, core values, and competencies, (3) Organizational culture, (4) Human Resource Management, and (5) Understanding the divergent of teachers.
