Abstract:
This research focuses on the development and
evaluation of the "Speedy ER Plus" mobile application,
designed to assess patient severity in emergency departments
across seven hospitals in three provinces of Chiang Mai. The
study project involved three key phases: situation analysis,
implementation, and evaluation. Engaging 32 emergency nurses
and medical personnel from the hospital network, the research
employed various tools, including questionnaires and tests, to
assess the application's effectiveness and its impact on
participants' knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to patient
triage. The study findings demonstrate the successful
development of the application, highlighting its positive
influence on triage assessments. Nevertheless, the research
acknowledges limitations, particularly the small and specific
participant sample size, which may potentially impact
generalizability. Additionally, the abstract now includes an
explanation of the triage system, which is a critical medical
process utilized to prioritize patients based on the severity of
their conditions in emergency settings.
