Abstract:
This research has the purposes as follows: 1) T study the internal motivation in driving the self-improvement which will increase the work efficiency based on the different categories of personal information, such as gender, status, age, monthly salary, education level and working experiences. 2) To study the problems and obstacles faced in workplace by academic staff and supporting staff based on the different categories of personal information, such as gender, status, age, monthly salary, education level and working experiences. The samples were the 311 supporting staff of King Mongkuts University of Technology North Bangkok, and the online questionnaire was employed. The analysis of data was based on the percentage, mean, standard deviation. The research outcomes indicate that the majority of sample group who complete a questionnaire is female and single with the average age of 25 30 years old. Their monthly salary is 25,001 30,000 THB and education level is bachelor's degree. Their statuses are university staff in practitioner level with the working experiences of 5 - 10 years in faculties or Office of the President. It was found that the overall score of the supporting staffs internal motivation in driving the self-improvement which will increase the work efficiency was at the high level. Also, the overall score of supporting staffs problems and obstacles faced in workplace was at the high level. The comparison of differences of internal motivation in 4 categories, including the remuneration and welfare, working security and progress opportunities, the self-improvement, and the balance between working life and private life, based on the different categories of personal information, such as gender, status, age, monthly salary, education level and working experiences, indicates the significant difference at 0.5, while the comparison of differences in problems and obstacles in three categories, such as the working environment and health promotion, the characteristics of working responsibility, the supervisors and colleges in workplace, based on the different categories of personal information, such as gender, status, age, monthly salary, education level and working experiences, indicates the significant difference at 0.5
