Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to develop dance training coursebasedon problem-based learning model to improve dance ability of undergraduate studentsand 2) tocompare students dance ability before and after the training course basedonproblem-based learning model. The sample group included 30 third-year studentsfrom preschool education major of Lijiang Teacher College, Lijiang City, China, inthefirst semester of the academic year 2023, those who obtained through cluster randomsampling. The research instruments included 1) dance training course activity plansbased on the problem-based learning model and 2) dance ability assessment form. Data were statistically analyzed by average, standard deviation, and t-test of dependantsamples. The results were found that:
1) Developing dance training course based on problem-based learning model
forundergraduate students, the courseinclude: module1 basic knowledgeof cultureanddance, module 2 the movement of dance, module 3 create the dance segments, 12hours in total. And measure students dance ability before and after course, it wasfound that students dance ability has been improved. 2) Using dance training course based on problem-based learning model, thedance ability of students after class is significantly higher than before class withstatistical
significance at the level .01.
