The Self-Reliance and Adaptability Administrative Model of The Juveniles in Juvenile Detention Homes, Department of Juvenile Observation And Protection
Abstract:
The objectives of the research were: 1) to study the causal factors of self-reliance and adaptability behaviors of the Juveniles in Juveniles Detention Homes 2) to study the development model of self-reliance and adaptabllity of the Juveniles in Juveniles Detention Homes, and 3) to study the administrative model of the Juveniles self-reliance and adaptability in Juveniles Detention Homes.The research methodology were quantitative together with qualitative method. The samples were 231 juvenile in the Juveniles Detention Homes obtained by cluster sampling. The research tools were sets of 11 summated rating scale with 4-7 items, items'discreimination (r) were between 0.222 up to 0.643, reliabilities were 0.443 - 0.788. The data were analyzed with descriptive, inferential statistics, and content analysis. The research findings were 1) Social situation factors, psychological traits factors and psychological state factors could explain Juveniles self-reliance and adaptability in Juveniles Detention Homes for more than 38.3 percentage. 2) It was found that juveniles living with relative and grandparents should be developed at first, by being raised with appropriate method 3) The Juveniles self-reliance and adaptability development model was fit with the empirical data. And 4) the administrative model for the development of Juveniles self-reliance and adaptability assessed by the experts was practical, with the average rating for aspects were between 86.19- 94.52 percentage, while the total was 89.46 percentage which was higher than the criteria 70/75 percentage
