Abstract:
This thesis aims to study the wind energy to install wind turbines and to find the possibility of installing wind turbines on high-rise buildings in Bangkok, Thailand. Due to the high-rise buildings have strong currents all the time, including the use of space to benefit, Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, consists of many tall buildings. The researcher is therefore interested in the study of wind power in the installation of wind turbines on tall buildings in Bangkok. In the simulation process, the wind speed data from the recorded wind potential map was used to find the wind speed of the wind turbine model designed using the program MATLAB / Simulink through DSP board model dSPACE education. Moreover, the 3-phase motor as a drive, transmission shaft power through a simulated DC generator is used instead of a wind turbine model to measure electrical energy and use the energy value to compare and analyze the results. From the experiment when using the wind speed in different ranges Of January 2017 to feed the wind turbine model. It was found that the cost of electricity received was very low because it was only one month's data. Therefore, if wind speed data of buildings higher than 25 meters is collected and wind speed data is collected throughout the year, higher electric power is expected. The proposed wind turbine model can estimate wind energy efficiently. This can be used as a tool for evaluating wind turbine installations in Bangkok.
