Abstract:
The purpose of the research was to compare problem solving ability and mathematics learning achievement on the subject of percentage after receiving brain-based learning with SQRQCQ techniques with 70% criteria. The sample group were 35 grade 5/1 students in the second semester, academic year 2020 of Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization School 3 (Ban Na), derived from cluster sampling. The research tools were 1) 9 brain-based learning management plans with SQRQCQ technique in the subject of percent, 2) a solving mathematical problems measure test on the subject of percentage with a confidence level of .94, 3) a mathematics learning achievement test on the subject of percentage with a confidence level of .82. The used statistics for data analysis were arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and test for one sample.
The result indicated that 1) students had the ability to solve mathematical problems on the subject of percentage after receiving the brain-based learning management with the SQRQCQ technique higher than the threshold of 70 percent, statistically significant at the .05 level.
2) The students' learning achievement in mathematics subject of percentage after receiving the brain-based learning management with the SQRQCQ technique was higher than the criteria of 70% with statistical significance at the .05 level.
