Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1) Create and determine the curriculum effectiveness of the curriculum to enhance Mathematics Word Problem-solving Using KWDL Technique for Fifth-Grade Students and 2) Study the results from the curriculum to enhance Mathematics Word Problem-solving Using KWDL Technique for Fifth-Grade Students. The target groups in this research were 9 students who were studying in the Fifth-Grade at Ban Na Pla Kang School of Phrae Education Area District Office 2 in the 2nd semester in the academic year of 2021. The research was pre-experimental design. The research instruments were the curriculum, the curriculum manual and the Mathematics Word Problem-solving test. The statistics used for the data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and the percentage of relative development.
The results were as follows:
1. The curriculum to enhance Mathematics Word Problem-solving Using KWDL Technique for Fifth-Grade Students consisted of 7 elements: 1) Problem statement
2) The principles of the curriculum 3) Aims of curriculum 4) The content structures of the curriculum consisted of 4 units (1) Percentage word problem-solving using knowledge about percentage of counting numbers. (2) Percentage word problem-solving using knowledge about rule of three. (3) Discount word problem-solving. And
(4) Percentage word problem-solving about profit and loss 5) Activity 6) Materials Resources and Learning sources and 7) Measurement and evaluation. The level of the overall appropriateness of the curriculum was high. The level of the overall appropriateness of curriculum's manual was high. The result from determining curriculum effectiveness showed the effectiveness index was at 0.7193.
2. The study of the results from the curriculum implementation found after studying, students had higher improvement score than prior the curriculum management. The average relative development among students was 76.96 percent.
