Abstract: Cross-docking is the practice of unloading goods from inbound delivery vehicles and loading them directly onto outbound vehicles. It is now widely used in many companies, from small to large, because of its advantages. The main advantages of implementing cross-docking are to reduce material handling and the need to store products in a warehouse. This paper proposes a mathematical model for calculating the travel distance of material handling from receiving dock to the shipping dock for the Mixed assignment policy inspired by the concept of centrality. Additionally, the implementation of the expected value is applied to make an informed decision based on the assigned probability. The result showed that the increase in the number of centrality facilities affects the total distance traveled for material handling to be reduced when adding doors for all ends
