Effects of user behavior and logistics service efficiency on consumers decisions to use the logistics services of SCG Yamato express company limited in Pathum Thani province
Abstract:
This independent study aimed to investigate: (1) consumers use of the logistics service and logistics service efficiency of SCG Yamato Express Company Limited, (2) the effects of personal factors and user behavior on consumers decisions to use the logistics services of SCG Yamato Express Company Limited, and (3) the influence of logistics service efficiency on consumers decisions to use the logistics services of SCG Yamato Express Company Limited.
The sample group used in this study comprised 400 people who use the logistics services of SCG Yamato Express Company Limited in Pathum Thani province. They were selected by using the multi-stage random sampling method. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. Statistical methods used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple linear regression analysis at the statistically significant level of .05.
The study results made 3 findings. First, the majority of respondents were the general public, used the service 1-3 times a month, used the service for shipments of 15-30 minutes, used the service from 4:00 p.m. to closing time, used the service on Saturdays, spent less than 100 Baht on shipment costs, and used the express delivery service due to the ability to track their shipment at any time. Furthermore, the overall
and individual dimensions of logistics service efficiency delivered by SCG Yamato Express Company Limited in Pathum Thani province were rated at a high level. Second, the personal factors of educational level and monthly income, together with the dimensions of user behavior including type of user, time using the service and type of logistics service all affected consumers decisions to use the logistics services of SCG Yamato Express Company Limited. Third, the logistics service efficiency dimensions of adequate service, equitable service, continuous service and progressive service demonstrated influences
on consumers decision to use the logistics services of SCG Yamato Express Company Limited at a statistically significant level of .05.
