Abstract:
The objectives of this study are investigate the quality of working life, job satisfaction and job motivation of forest protection staff at Pha Daeng National Park, Chiang Mai. Analyze the influence of the quality of working life on job satisfaction, job motivation and job persistence. The propose guidelines for improving job satisfaction and motivation as well as raising the standard of working life. This study is qualitative research, and the data was collected by interviewing leaders and forest protection staffs a total 26 people at Pha Daeng National Park. The study found that forest protection staffs have an adequate quality of life in all aspects except for compensation, welfare, and job security. Compensation influenced job persistence, but risks and hardships had no effect on moving, changing jobs, or resigning. Being praised and accepted had an impact on job motivation. Forest protection staff suggested adjusting compensation, increase welfare, and privilege for all of types of officers, raising the level of work safety protection standards, increase work skills and creating opportunities for advancement and job security, etc. The recommendations of this research for the forest protection staff have to get satisfaction and motivation to work. Departments in the policy section should improve the regulations and law that unfavorable to raising the level of life.
