Abstract:
The Reverse Threshold Model Theory (RTMT) model was introduced on limiting factor (LF) concepts, but its efficiency compared to the Conventional Statistical Model (CSM) has not been published. This investigation assessed the efficiency of RTMT compared to CSM using two data sources: 1); computer simulation on the One Laptop Per Child (SSS/OLPC) computer, several desktop computers, STUPIT BOX and Android and 2); floating garden data. Based on probability values, it was found from both data sets that RTMT was more efficient than CSM and an earlier study verified that RTMT gives complete elimination of random error. Furthermore, RTMT has several advantages over CSM and is therefore proposed to be applied to most research data. Three selected plants were used to analyze by using RTMT and found that while CSM got different in results but RTMT gave an identical result among three experiments. Computer simulation on pigs data was used to investigate CSM and found that it gave inconsistent results with different data size varied from 8, 16, 32 and 64, respectively Results from this investigation imply strong recommendation to use RTMT in replace of CSM for the next analysis in all research in the future.
