Abstract:
This descriptive correlational study aimed to investigate needs, acquisition, and satisfaction, the relationship among needs, acquisition, and satisfaction, problems, and barriers and provide suggestions for e-learning management. The samples were 289 nursing students divided into three categories: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year, enrolling in semester S/2020 at Rangsit University. The number of the samples was obtained through purposive sampling. The instrument was a questionnaire through which data in six domains of need, acquisition, and satisfaction towards e-learning management were collected. A content validity index of .85 was approved by four experts. Cronbachs alpha coefficient and KR-20 were higher than .70. Descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov Smirnov, and Spearman Rank Correlation were used to analyze the data.
The findings revealed that the students needs, acquisition, and satisfaction ranged from moderate to high. Needs was positively related to Acquisition at a low level (r= .116, p < .05) but was positively related to Satisfaction at a moderate level (r=.570, p < .001). Acquisition was positively related to Satisfaction at a low level(r=.360, p < .001).Problems and barriers found in all three groups of students included incomplete lessons in learning materials, unstable internet connection, delayed feedback from instructors, poor learning environment, students lack of self-regulation and self-motivation. The research recommended an improvement of the sufficiency of content and lessons in interactive multimedia and a clear determination of consulting time and hours.
These results could be used as guidelines for the improvement e-learning management for nursing students
