Abstract:
Research titled community waste sorting through the 3R process to add value through using agricultural innovation of Yaicha Community, Samphran District, Nakhon Pathom Province" with three objectives : 1) to study solid waste management of Yaicha Community, Samphran District, Nakhon Pathom Province ; 2) to study the 3R system process to bring waste management and add value to Yaicha Community, Samphran District, Nakhon Pathom Province ; and 3) to propose the separation of community waste through the 3R process to add value by processing using agricultural innovations. It was a qualitative research by studying information from documents, books, journals, related research, and field study by interviewing method from key informants. It consisted of (1) Key Informant, focusing on collecting data from in-depth interview from waste management and community stakeholders, divided into 3 groups: (1) Community and waste management were: 1) Government officials 2) Community leaders 3) Chairman of community enterprises 4) Community temples 5) Villagers (2) Focus Group Discussion. The researchers used a specific method of selection from people who involved in the management of solid waste in the community, including: 1) Government officials 2) Community leaders 3) Chairman of community enterprises 4) Temple in the community area 5) Villagers.
The results found that:
Community waste sorting through the 3R process added value to Yaicha Community, Samphran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, divided into 3 aspects:The method of garbage collection in the community used the disposal method. The community made an agreement to establish rules, regulations and penalties on community waste management. There was a community forum for people in the community to express their opinions about waste disposal. Publicize knowledge about waste sorting according to the 3R principle. How to dispose of your waste could be recycled to benefit the community by campaigning for people in the community to sort waste? Then brought those waste to management, processing for new use to generate income, educate knowledge on the correct type of waste classification, invite people and shops in the community to stop using plastic bags and foam that affect the environment. The knowledge of waste separation with the 3R system, by organizing a training program, educating and campaigning on the management, reduction and separation of waste according to the 3R principles and supporting the separation equipment. Organizing training and encouraging people in the community to recycle waste that could still be used, to let people know how to separate household waste and generate income from it.
Processing added value by using agricultural innovations of the Yaicha Community, Samphran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, separated into 1) Guidelines for adding value of community waste was carried out by establishing a center that acts as a mediator for purchasing or doing a waste bank in the community. Establishing a community learning center for the implementation of activities in the manner of providing knowledge about training in waste sorting and conversion to use and generate income. Campaign and encourage people to sort waste from the beginning. Then made use of organic waste, recyclable waste, and created waste inventions promoting occupations involving the use of household waste and waste materials to develop into occupational groups to generate income for families. Using food waste to make compost to nourish vegetables and sold in the community to generate income to the community. 2) The approach to waste processing with agricultural innovation was carried out by organizing training to provide knowledge on making compost and bio-fermented water. To enable people in the community to use and nourish vegetables and create jobs, generate income, use waste to produce alternative energy, production of bio-fermented water to clean and utilize the action of microorganisms. Bringing organic waste to feed earthworms, then brought earthworm manure to grow trees or distribute to make money processing waste by turning waste into money.
