Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the condition of school administration of secondary school administrators in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun province; 2) to compare the opinions of teachers about the school administration conditions of secondary school administrators in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province; and 3) to find a guideline for school administration based on the Principles of Adhitthanadhamma iv of secondary school administrators in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province. This study was a mixed methods research. For quantitative research, the sample was 177 people. The tools used in the research were rating scale with a confidence value of 0.97. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test and one way ANOVA. As for qualitative research, an analytical interview was used by collecting data from 9 key informants and then analyzing the data by content analysis.
The research findings were as follows:
1) School administration conditions of secondary school administrators in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province in all 4 aspects as a whole were at a high level by descending order as follows: personnel management and general administration were at the highest level; academic administration and budget management were at a high level.
2) Comparative results of the opinions of the sample group about school administration of secondary school administrators in Lom Sak District Phetchabun Province classified by personal factors such as gender, age, educational level, overall, were no statistically significant differences in opinions at the 0.05 level, thus rejecting the hypothesis.
3)School administration guidelines according to the Principles of Adhitthanadhamma iv of Secondary School Administrators in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province were as follows: (1) in the aspect of academic administration In school administration, administrators, teachers, and staff must be encouraged, supported, and continued to develop learning. Besides, they must set oneself in virtue, have responsibility, mindfulness, concentration, and be careful in work; (2) in terms of budget management, administrators should involve personnel in the preparation of budget requests, considering the reasons for the preparation of various projects in accordance with the problem and development and in planning for the use of money correctly; (3) as regards personnel management, administrators must manage personnel to suit the job by assigning tasks in what personnel were good at based on experience, responsibility, maturity, personality, behavior, morality, and potential, taking into account the efficiency and effectiveness of government service; and (4) with regard to general administration, administrators should promote and support educational standards to be efficient and effective in respect of coordinating with communities and agencies, build a good relationship, share their opinions in order to exchange knowledge and create friendships with each other.
