The development of automated storage and retrieval system with IoT technology
Abstract:
The development of Automated Storage and Retrieval System by using
Internet of Things was investigated in this research, which is compose of the
important three parts. First, Hardware or AS/RS was used for pick and place
the products by Stack Crane. IoT technology was used to communicate
between AS/RS and Barcode Scanner Application and Server through the
internet network system. The server was taken as the second part. MySQL
Server was used for storage the product information, member information and
AS/RS system information. Web Server provided services for data
management, data transmission, the system control and display on the
website. Third, the operator section was promoted to a responsible for storage
product information through the website, and controls the operations of the
warehouse, such as the storage and retrieval of products, check products.
From the experiments, the stack crane movement from the pickup to shelf
Product showed the x-axis and z-axis movement were uniform with an
average error of 0.14% and 0.13% respectively. The storage product
experiments found that the system was able to find vacancies, correctly
placed, and arranged in order of the empty shelf row 1-3, and column A-D.
Moreover, the retrieval product experiments found that the stack crane was
able to locate and travel to the location of the product to retrieve the product
correctly, and can display the shelf and product information on the shelf
correctly.
