Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the levels of administrative factors and morale among teachers in Ratchaburi private schools, and also investigate the relationship between the administrative factors and the morale components for the performances of those teachers. The sample subjects were 400 teachers taken from 36 schools through the multi-stage random technique. The instrument used for data collection was a rating-scale questionnaire consisting of 300 parts. The statistics used for analyzing the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearsons product moment correlation coefficients and the analysis of the correlation coefficients.
The findings could be summarized as follows :
1. Administrative factors in Ratchaburi private schools were viewed at high level, both as a whole or separately. The aspect considered at the highest level was schools administrative policy and its implementation and respectively followed by these aspects : organizational characteristics, personnels characteristics and environmental characteristics. 2. The aspects of teachers morale in such schools were also viewed at high levels, both as a whole or separately. They could be ranked in order form higher to lower levels, respectively, like this : satisfaction with curriculum, relationship among teachers, status satisfaction, relationship between teachers and administrators, social pressure, job satisfaction, workloads, educational support from communities, salary satisfaction, satisfaction with placed and services. 3. Concerning the relationship between the administrative factors and the morale components for the performance of teachers in those school, it was positive and significant at the .01 and .05 level.
