The Effect of Financial Report Quality on Decision Making Efficiency of Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) in the Northeast Thailand and Environmental Munificence as a Moderating
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to examine the effect of Financial Report Quality on
Decision Making Efficiency and to examine the effects of Environmental Munificence on
the relationship between Financial Report Quality and Decision Making Efficiency.
A questionnaire is used as an instrument for data collection from 312 executives of SMEs
of northeast in Thailand. Multiple regression analysis is employed as test of hypotheses.
The results indicated all high level of Financial Report Quality and Decision Making
Efficiency: In additional, 4 elements of Financial Report Quality; Relevance, Comparability,
Verifiability, and Timeliness has effect on Decision Making Efficiency. Finally, the
Environmental Munificence has effect on relationship and impact between Financial Report
Quality and Decision Making Efficiency. Consequently, the executive of SMEs fi rm use
the results from this research for provide quality of accounting information to support
the decision making efficiency for enhance fi rm success.
