Abstract:
The purpose of the current study is analyse the impact of technological changes that take place in the public and private sector hospitals and also to analyse the response of the staff of the hospital when high end medical technology is implemented in the hospitals. The sample is collected from various public and private sector hospitals in the region of Multan, Pakistan. This is a cross sectional research. The results of the study indicate that there are no differences between the technological changes that take place in the public and private sect hospitals in Multan, Pakistan. However, the study also finds out that the technological acceptance varies with the age group of the employees in the public and private hospitals in Multan, Pakistan. Data for this research was collected from 400 staff workers from eight public and private hospitals from Multan, Pakistan. In addition to this, the data was collected through survey questionnaires which were circulated among the sample selected for this research. It is recommended through this research that there should be more focus on the management and administration of hospitals should also ensure that appropriate measures are being taken on managerial level to train their paramedical staff about the new technologies that are being introduced in the field of healthcare.
