Abstract:
The independent study is ; Factors affecting the adoption of PromptPay technology and the behavior of using PromptPay service in mueang chiangmai district, Chiang Mai province. The researcher conducted a random sampling of 480 samples of people in Chiang Mai Province. The Results showed that the majority of PromptPay service user were female, aged from 31 to 40 yrs., single status, educated to bachelor level, career as private company employee, had salary income more than 30,000 baht, hobbies like to play the internet, use communication via the LINE program, often prefer to use the service to withdraw money / cash deposit by automatic teller machine (ATM), knew the service of PromptPay via the bank staff, do not have a state bank account, use PromptPay service 2-3 months per time, bank transfer the money 500-100 baht per time. In the opinion of PromptPay service system ; with overall public opinion at the high level ; except that using Prompt Pay service will destroy your privacy which most has moderate opinion. Analysis of variables affecting adoption of Prompt by using regression equation, when adopting various independent variables such as gender, age, education status, occupation, income, hobby, communication channel that is chosen to use, using the financial transaction services, frequent financial transaction services, having heard of PromptPay, and knowing the service of PromptPay ; to analyze with regression equation to determine which variables affect the adoption of PromptPay technology? From the study, it was found that the variables that affect the adoption of PromptPay technology are ; using the financial transaction services (such as mobile banking, internet banking), hearing the name PromptPay and knowing the availability of services, education, occupation, hobbies and frequent financial transaction services. Most people who choose to use PromptPay service, choose because there is no fee for money transfer when compared to bank transfers at that time. (Nowadays banks waive fees for money transfers via internet banking and mobile banking). But the money transfer via ATMs still has the fees as the same. Including convenience that we doesn't have to waste time searching for bank account numbers, just have a phone number that can be searched from the phone contacts or we can use the ID number, it make more convenient. However, users of PromptPay service have worry about the reliability of data security due to fear that the government will be able to know the account movement. Including the use of PromptPay service can also reduce time and expenses in coming to money transfer at a bank or ATM, however for who do not use PromptPay service because they have not necessary to use and lack of confidence in information security. Including seeing that there are still difficulties because some respondents have not expertise in finance transactions via mobile phone systems, so they choose the banking transactions rather than. In this study, the sample group is people in Chiang Mai province which it may not be as a representative of the whole country group due to have differences in behavior, skills in finance transactions on mobile phone.
