Abstract:
This research had the objective to study policy promotion for cultural tourism management, cultural tourism management, factors affecting Thai tourists demand for repeat trips, and the development process of cultural tourism that was suitable for the community in Nakhon Nayok Province The researcher used a mixed method research method consisting of qualitative and quantitative research. The study results revealed athat policy to promote cultural tourism was divided into 1) promoting cultural identity, 2) developing the province to be a connectivity hub, 3) extending cultural tourism for the new generation, 4) integration and collaboration, 5) building a central database of culture and traditions, 6) promoting access to information using technology systems, 7) continuous and up-to-date public relations on the social media platform, 8) improving facilities and utilities, 9) promoting potential and sustainable learning, 10) preparing a good action plan and model to develop the community, 11) supporting and allocating budget in different dimensions, 12 generating community income, 13) restoring traditions and culture, and 14) safe and strict supervision. Cultural tourism sites were managed in various aspects including 1) easy access to tourist attractions, 2) accommodation, 3) tourist attractions, 4) activities related to culture, and 5) other services. Factors related to the Thai tourists need for repeat trips were as follows: 1) factors of preference for cultural tourism category and 2) factors for the preparedness of cultural tourism consisting of 2.1) accommodation factors, 2.2) attraction factors, 2.3) activities factors. In asddition, developing cultural tourism process suitable for communities in Nakhon Nayok Province consisted of doing the following steps: 1) strengthening cultural tourism sites in the community, 2) conducting continuous research and developing cultural tourism, and 3) encouraging peoples participation in developing cultural tourism in the community, 4) adaptating people according to the current development of cultural tourism, 5) focusing on the cultural and traditional preservation, 6) sharing fair return of tourism benefits to people in the community, 7) generating income from cultural tourism in the community, 8) having new tourism programs that could attract many groups of tourists, 9) focusing on the arrangement of homestay accommodation, 10) highlighting the community lifestyle and farmer lifestyle to allow tourists to participate in activities, 11) focusing on presenting the unique culture and good products of the community, 12) establishing rural college where the people in the community played a role in knowledge management and disseminating knowledge to interested people, 13) focusing on community agricultural tourism activities and 14) taking tourists to the temple to worship and make merit according to the traditional way.
