Abstract:
This research aimed to study the history and creativity of creative performing arts of county bands in the King's Music festival. It is a qualitative study based on data from research articles and field data from selected country bands from three schools that won first place at the King's Music Festival in the 2017-2019, using the purposive sampling method. An in-depth interview was used to interview 35 people from three groups: experts, practitioners, and general informants. Research instruments included a survey, non-participant observation, and organized and unstructured interviews. According to the findings of the study, Buriram Municipality held a combo band with dancers contest in collaboration with Buriram Province and Buriram Provincial Administrative Organization in order to win a royal cup bestowed by King. It has been held every year since 2006 until now. There were two categories of contests in 2017-2019:1. Type A, who has received national awards 2. Type B, new country bands that have no experience competing in the national contest. It is held on December 1st -5th of every year at the Buriram Castle Multipurpose Ground, Chang Arena. It was found that there were 9 steps in the process of creating he creative performing arts of country bands in King's Music Festival. The finding of this study revealed a style and concept for creating performing arts that can be studied and developed multilaterally, such as local cultural conservation and as a guideline for the development of musical band performances, including generating income for the community as a result of performing arts creation.
