Abstract:
The purposes of this research were : 1) to develop the reading and writing skillexercises inThai learning area for students in Prathomsuksa 3 to meet the efficiency criteria set at 80/80 ; 2) to compare the students learning achievement learned with the reading and writing skill exercises in Thai learning area for students in Prathomsuksa 3 by cooperative learning STAD technique before and after learning ; 3) to study the effectiveness index of learning with the reading and writing skill exercises ; and 4) to study the students satisfaction towards learning with the reading and writing skill exercises. The samples were 17 students in Prathomsuksa 3 of Ban Nalao school who were studying in the first semester of academic year 2012. They were recruited by purpose sampling. The research instruments were : 1) 15 sets of the reading and writing skill exercises ; 2) 15 lesson plans ; 3) a 30-item of achievement test with the discrimination value between 0.20-0.73, the difficulty value between 0.37-0.80, and the reliability value at 0.93 ; and 4) a 10-item with 5-rating scale of the students satisfactionquestionnaire towards learning with the exercises. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested by dependent samples t-test.The results were as follows:1. The efficiency of the reading and writing skill exercises in Thai learning area for students in Prathomsuksa 3 was at 87.65/85.29 which met the criteria set at 80/80.2. The students learning achievement learned with the reading and writing skill exercises in Thai learning area for students in Prathomsuksa 3 by cooperative learning STAD technique after learning was higher than before learning at the .01 level of statistical significance. 3. The effectiveness index of learning with the reading and writing skill exercises was 0.7 which showed that the students knowledge increased 0.7 4. The students satisfaction towards learning with the reading and writing skill exercises was at the highest level.
