Abstract:
The research aims to 1) Construct and determine the effectiveness of a lesson plan to improve ability in English reading comprehension of Mathayomsuksa 1 students by using SQ4R learning activities together with mind mapping techniques to be effective according to the 80/80. 2) To compare the English reading comprehension abilities of Mathayomsuksa 1 students before and after learning through SQ4R learning activities together with mind mapping techniques. 3) Study the students' satisfaction toward the learning by using SQ4R leaming activities together with mind mapping techniques. The population used in the research was Mathayomsuksa 1 students at the School of Educational Opportunity, Khun Ngao Network Group, Ngao District, Lampang Province, under the Lampang Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, academic year 2020, 6 schools, 6 classrooms, 118 students. The samples were Mathayomsuksa 1 students, academic year 2020, Ban On School, Ngao District, Lampang Province, totaling 1 classroom, total 31 students by Simple random sampling, by using the random drawing method using the classroom as the unit. Research instruments were the lesson plan by using SQ4R leaming activities together with mind mapping techniques to be effective, English reading comprehension test and Students' satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics using to analyze the data were percentage, mean standard deviation and t-test dependent sample. The result of this research found that 1) The efficiency score of the lesson plan by using SQ4R learning activities together with mind mapping techniques to be effective was 82.64/84.52 meets 80/80 performance criteria. 2) The students had a higher academic achievement after study than before studying was significantly at the 0.01 level. 3) The students' satisfaction towards learning by learning activities' plan by using SQ4R learning activities together with mind mapping techniques to be effective was highly positive.
