Abstract:
The mixed model study was done aimed to determine the guideline for service quality development based on the need of outpatients of Chiang Kham Hospital, Chiang Kham District, Phayao Province. Sample in the study were outpatients and outpatients providers. Data was collected by questionnaires and focus group discussion and analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Content analysis. The results showed that most of the samples were 41-50 years of age, married, and complete university graduates or higher. Most of them were government employees and the rights of health were cared by the government. The highest need of service quality was Reliability (x̄ = 4.50, S.D. = 0.64). The comparison between the need and satisfactions of service quality found difference in service response, service reliability and service accessibility at significant level 0.05. The factor statistically influenced the need of service quality was education level (p < 0.05). It is concluded that the factors affecting the quality of outpatient services in Chiangkham Hospital are the level of education. Service quality and service quality assessment will be key to enabling service executives to see opportunities for improvement to improve the development meet the needs of the of the customer effectively.
