Abstract:
This research aimed to study the problems and obstacles of used car hire purchase loan, hire purchase process of used car sales people, and the used car hire purchase strategies of ICBC (Thai) Leasing Co., Ltd. In-depth interviews were conducted with 13 senior executives and used car loan marketing officers of the company. It was found that the problems and obstacles of used car hirepurchase business included bad debt or non-performing loans, strict terms of the loan considerations, lower used car valuation compared with other companies, small number of loan service employees. To the hire purchase process, the processes were as follows: 1) Explore new used car market areas that had never been used by the bank, 2) meet dealers and introduce yourself or company to explain the terms or policies of the company, 3) introduce used car products to dealers, and offer various company campaigns, 4) check the stability of the business, 5) wait for the results after the dealers credit check, and go to the area to check the information, and 6) submit the used car tent sale the request form for the authoritys approval. To the sales strategies, a segmentation strategy was used to set the target groups for marketing, product and service. The 7P's differentiation strategies were also used as follows: 1) the product met or satisfied the customers needs, and the car in good condition was valued highly, 2) to price, interest rates were lower than those of other companies, 3) to distribution channel (place), the company relied on the car hire purchase products, and agent was a hire purchase marketing officer who was an intermediary in controlling the system and who was also a service provider. 4) to promotion, marketing campaign of abroad tourism or commissions for dealers were the ways to motivate the customers demand or make them satisfied with the brand of goods or services, 5) to people, qualified marketing staff were selected to give the dealers services, 6) to physical evident (service quality), fast service was the way to create a positive brand image, 7) to process, factors that helped the company to manage the operation included clear regulations to respond the customers need and the department or systems to support the work of marketing staff
