Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to evaluate STEM education program in Watkhemapirataram School
in 3 parts: 1) readiness and appropriateness of inputs for the program, 2) suitability of processes in the
program and 3) products of STEM Education program. Populations in this research consisted of school
director, the direct responsible teachers of STEM Educations project, the teacher who participate in the
project, STEM ambassadors, and students who participate in the project. The instruments which were used
in this research consisted of interviewing, focus group discussion form, students innovation questionnaire,
STEM education learning activity questionnaire for teachers, self-questionnaire about the readiness in STEM
education teaching for teachers as well as questionnaire about the satisfaction to this program. Instruments
in data analysis were frequency, percentage and content analysis. The results of STEM education program
evaluation were found that the first part: 3 issues in readiness and appropriateness of inputs for the program
was higher than the expected criterion such as 1) coherence of objectives of activity and objectives of
program, 2) readiness in operating STEM education program of the school and 3) readiness in STEM education
teaching for teachers. The second part was suitability of processes in the program. 3 Issues in this part were
higher than the expected criterion such as 1) operation according to the plans, 2) supervision in program
operation as well as 3) problems, obstacles and solution during the operation in the program. Result in
products of STEM Education program was satisfactory. When the researcher examined achievements from
3 objectives of program as well as evaluation of satisfaction to STEM education for school director, the
direct responsible teachers of STEM Educations project, the teacher who participate in the project, and
students who participate in the project found that 3 issues were higher than the expected criterion; for
example, (1) teachers had abilities in STEM program teaching, (2) students were able to create their own
innovations by using engineering design process as well as (3) satisfaction of school director, the direct
responsible teachers of STEM Educations project, the teacher who participate in the project, and students
who participate in the project was in excellent level. However, there were some issues which did not pass
the criterion such as STEM ambassador network in each level of the school
